For those of you living in a cave; this Sunday was the second ever Crich Stand Hill Climb; this year dedicated to the memory of Chris Storer. Once again South Penine R.C. put on an excellent event on what Chris correctly identified as a superb hill climb course.

- 24th – Ian Fairy 2-02-82
- 25th – Gary Little 2-10-82
- 30th William Hall 2-28-55
Congratulations to event winner Adam Kenway of Team Zenith who completed the course in a blistering 1-19-18. (Full results available over at velouk.net).
Expect a full race report later in the week; complete with photos courtesy of Sally Maier.
Sunday saw two chilly club rides leave the Badger Box. Some of A Group headed out to Newark on a steady Sugar Beet ride with Scot at the helm. The rest of the club headed out on a steady ride to Crich Stand to watch the hill climb and take unfair advantage of the reduced price tea, coffee and caik!
The AGM will take place on Monday the 27th October. All the cool kids will be in attendance; so save the date and make sure you attend to have your say in the club’s most important meeting of the year! If you have any suggestion, comments or ideas you’d like to put forward to the club; now is your time. We already have a number of exciting items on the agenda, so be sure you can attend to add your voice to any debate.
New Club Kit
Our new club kit has arrived from Imsport! We have Gilets, Shorts and Jerseys ready to go from sized Medium upwards. Expect an updated club kit page in the next few days.
More of a complete reshuffle this week in Ashfield’s Strava club, however David Brammer maintains his vice like grip on the top spot for Overall Distance with 166.6 miles. A good effort from Ian “The Racing Snake” Drake who clocked up a whopping 152.1 miles to take 2nd.
Longest Ride honours were taken by Ian Drake with a single ride of 58.6 miles. Russ Forsdick took 2nd place with 55.6 miles.
Phil “The Power” Heath has somehow managed to clinch 1st place in the Climbing standings with 6,552 feet. Ian Drake takes 2nd with 5854 feet.
