The weather held up it’s end of the bargain this Sunday; providing a gloriously sunny; but windy autumn day, as our three riders embarked on the epic Three Peaks Cyclo-Cross race.
Our club riders; Richard, Scot and Ian completed the course safely, traversing Whernside, Ingleborough and Pen-y-gent.
Our top placed rider was Richard Bellamy who finished in 28th position with a time of 3 hours 35 minutes. Ian and Scot finished an hour later in 4 hours 37 minutes, earning them 291st and 292nd place respectively.
First time Three Peaker Scot has this to say about the event:
“Great day out at the 3 peaks thanks to Ian and Raynor for taking me and looking after me. And to Richard Bellamy for all the training tips and advice. Ill try harder next time. Good to see club mates cheering us all on. Be nice to see more riders next year”. – Scot Gamble
